Funding rate data: JSON and CSV endpoints

The full snapshot behind this site is free to use: no account, no key, no rate limit beyond common sense. Two formats, same rows, refreshed every hour with the site.

Endpoints

JSON — GET https://rate.lelifi.com/data.json. A top-level object with ts (the snapshot timestamp, UTC+8), count and rows. Served with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, so browser JavaScript on any origin can fetch it. Cached at the edge for 5 minutes.

CSV — GET https://rate.lelifi.com/data.csv. The same rows with a header line: ex,sym,rate,interval_h,ann,mark,vol_usd,kind. Opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or pandas via pd.read_csv("https://rate.lelifi.com/data.csv"). Numbers are unrounded.

Field definitions

FieldMeaning
exExchange name: Binance, Bitget, Gate or Kraken.
symContract symbol, e.g. BTC. Tokenized stock tickers use the exchange's own symbol.
rateFunding rate per settlement period as a decimal fraction (0.0001 = 0.01% per period).
interval_hSettlement interval in hours: 1 on Kraken, 8 (occasionally 4) elsewhere. Annualization uses this value per row, not a global assumption.
annAnnualized rate in percent: rate × (8760 / interval_h) × 100. Negative means shorts pay longs.
markMark price in quote currency at snapshot time, when the exchange provides it.
vol_usd24 hour traded volume in US dollars (quote volume). Contracts below $1M are excluded from the site entirely.
kind"stock" for tokenized equity perpetuals, "crypto" for everything else.

Update schedule and retention

A collector reads the four exchanges' public API endpoints at :03 and :33 every hour (UTC+8) and writes one snapshot; the site and both endpoints are regenerated straight after. The endpoints always hold the latest snapshot only. Hourly snapshots are also archived internally: they feed the 24 hour trend tables on the coin pages, the embeddable board, and the weekly reports.

How to cite

Quote any figure with a link, e.g.: “Perpetual funding rates via rate.lelifi.com, snapshot of 2026-11-02 17:40:14 UTC+8.” For charts or publications, credit “Funding Rate Radar (rate.lelifi.com), data from Binance, Bitget, Gate and Kraken public APIs”. You may republish derived summaries freely; please do not republish the raw dataset wholesale as your own feed.

Questions about the data

Why does the annualized number look absurd for some contracts?

It is arithmetic, not a forecast: a per-period rate is multiplied out to a yearly figure. Thinly traded contracts can print three-digit annualized rates that cannot be filled at size, which is why the site excludes contracts with less than $1M of daily volume and why the coin pages show the 24 hour median alongside the spot number.

Can I use the data commercially?

Yes, for derived work: screens, charts, research, client reports. Keep the attribution link. Do not resell the raw feed or present it as your own API.

Why is my favourite exchange missing?

The site covers Binance, Bitget, Gate and Kraken — the venues with public funding endpoints and enough perp liquidity to matter for a screener. The set grows only when an exchange's public API can be read reliably without an account.
